What brand trencher? Do's and Don'ts? Favorite Attachments?

For some reason I seem to be moving or adding water lines quite a bit. Build the water feature, run a water line. Add on to the deck, move a water line. When I was asked to make some comments on a rental tool for landscaping it was an easy choice to choose a trencher. I've rented quite a few of them over the last few years, nearly all of them the walk behind variety.

I'm familiar with numerous brands and they all work about the same. There is one type of trencher, however, that I have never run. That's the mini skid-steer type. These tiny units are much like their full-size older cousins as far as having numerous attachments, which I find pretty handy.

Who out there can give some do's and don'ts about what brand trenchers do you like and what attachments are your favorites?
