How do you manage your concrete tools?
It is hard to know which concrete finishing tools to put into inventory at the store. We question if we should focus on value-priced tools or a professional-grade stock. We know that there are some tools that are used everyday and then there are those that are more disposable. It makes sense that you wouldn't scrimp on a magnesium float, but you might be OK with a cheaper edging tool. Or would you? Our assumption is that contractors will want a higher quality tool and the weekend warriors will want value pricing, but we might be all wrong.
We would guess that contractors manage their hand tools differently depending upon the economy, their workload and the season. We are interested in knowing if anyone even thinks about their tool selection or do they just buy something new when they feel they need to do so.
Do you keep a new back-up of certain tools in the truck or shop, or do you just purchase as you need a tool?
